On day one take it easy at your hotel to get ready for the exciting activities on day two. See dolphins and whales as they migrate from cold to warm waters by going out to sea early in the morning.

Travel to Wilpattu National Park from Kalpitiya. The ‘willus’ from here. These land depressions that fill with rainwater serve as wildlife watering holes. See the many animals and birds that call the park home as you stroll around it.

Day 04, 05

Visit Habarana and engage in some exhilarating activities there. You can climb and take in the breathtaking views from the top of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress on the fourth day of your visit. Ascend to see the frescoes that decorate the walls. To start a wildlife safari, go to Minneriya National Park on the fifth day. This park is known for its population of wild Asian elephants that can be seen roaming in massive herds. In the afternoon take a tour around the village.

Day 06

Visit Kandy on your way to Ramboda stopping along the way to take in the energetic city. Take in the breathtaking architecture which combines modern and historic elements as you stroll around the city. Try some of the regional cuisine and shop for some traditional crafts. Arrive in Ramboda and check into the hotel to spend the remainder of the day relaxing.

Day 07

On the seventh day take the picturesque train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella. The breathtaking scenery of the misty-topped green mountains, the waterfalls and the charming towns perched on the mountainside will astound you during this amazing train ride.

Day 08,09,10

After visiting Little Adam’s Peak, a breathtaking hike that showcases Sri Lanka’s natural splendour, start your journey to Arugam Bay. To capture beautiful pictures of the train passing by go to the Nine Arches Bridge first. Sit by the sea and take in the waves for a few days of relaxation.

Day 11

You have the opportunity to see the elusive leopard at Yala National Park where it either hunts prey or hides in tree branches. You will encounter the wild animals that inhabit this habitat which occupies a significant amount of the southern region of the country as you travel through.

Day 12

The Udawalawe National Park, famed for its elephant population is a sentimental place. On a safari through this park, you can observe the young elephants having fun in the mud while the matriarch keeps watch over them.

Day 13, 14

You will spend the two days prior to departure, travelling to Sri Lanka’s southern coast to see the historical sites and take in the sea. After you get there, head to Galle to see the ancient Galle Fort. It is regarded as one of the best-preserved sea forts in Asia. After that, unwind on the shoreline while the sun goes down. On the morning of day fourteen, travel to Mirissa to observe whales. Many whale species can be seen passing Sri Lanka on their way to warmer waters during the migratory season. Afternoon rides through the village are a great way to see the sights and meet the amiable locals.
